Stuff

We have been busy, trying to get ready to move, transferring jobs, finishing jobs, visiting friends, going to staff parties, house hunting from 300 miles away, and saying goodbye to this town.

"Coffee-Toffee, Twisted-Frosty-eeee!" Woot. That thing was good.

Looks like I am dancing in Dupont Circle...but really, I was falling...

Right before his final color touch-up at Fattyz Tattoo's!

Purple and.......blood......

2nd treat of the day. Whole Foods pistachio cupcake. Was yum.

Clipped up hair+Wind = Oh well.

Last day of school. I was told that I looked:
-"Swell"
-like "that 'I Love Lucy' lady!"
-Katy Perry
-like a silent movie star
-like a star in the 40's

hair
Cake my BAD CLASS got me. haha.

Remember those cupcakes I made for the staff party??
Well...I had Paul carry them in. He was not paying attention, and that is what happened.

I had another party on Friday that I had to bring cupcakes to.
These were the red velvet survivors I left at home on that fateful day + vanilla-vanilla cupcakes I made with only 1 egg and no white sugar.
I made up the recipe with some secret ingredients and they turned out awesome!
My cupcakes were the first (and only) dessert to be totally finished off! yay!

The end!?

Whoa. I cannot believe it is almost the end of the year! This is my last week with the kids and I am in shock! Where did this year go?! I feel like it flew by...and then I remember all of the days where I drove home, crying* to Paul about how "I wish the year would just end alreadyyyy!" haha... Anywoo- the days are all shortened by 2 hours for the rest of this week, so classes are only an hour long (instead of 1hr 30m), and I have already given my final :) So now, it is just a waiting game...

We are moving back to Pittsburgh next weekend and both Paul and I are stressing out about having to move AGAIN. After the moving back week, we are going to be travelling down to Savannah, GA for a few days to kick back in the sun and visit with my bro, sis and dad. Yay for vacations!

*Literally crying...

Red velvet cupcakes I made for the staff party...

Side Note: I can't believe I am going to a 'Teacher Party' ...that is so weird! I still feel like I should be a student, getting freaked out that the teachers are having a party!! haha

Snacky. Apples with a white chocolate smear, cinnamon dusting and a drizzle of honey :D

Add Image My other snack: Shotzye in the sunshine.

I die.

3 Things.

#1. Leeloo turned 2 yesterday. Happy birthday beautiful beebee!

Only 2 months here.

Now a days.

Oooooo. I will scratch your chin your ugly-cute-ugly thing! *gritting teeth*

#2. I started another crystal faceplate...but my order got messed up so the company is sending my last crystals here so I can finish it next week...bummer.

A plan has begun.

MUCH better set up this time...Instead of sitting on the floor and doing it on the coffee table, I used the real table. (why....why did I do that last time...) Also, I flipped all of the crystals to make faster transfer into the glue that sets up really quick.

Cupcake...the backround fades from a white crystal out to an iridesent crystal. And the 'cherry' is a pink opal.

better shot of the colors on my finished cover

#3. I QUIT MY JOB! AND WE ARE MOVING BACK TO PITTSBURGH IN JULY! (all caps- yea baby!...and bold non-the-less, Im going all out for this news.)

Goodbye storageclosetforanoffice!

More crafts.

My cell phone had recently celebrated its 2nd birthday, which means I got to replace it...and so I did just that- with a new pink palm centro :D It is a dark reddish pink (which makes me slightly sad since they just retired the light sparkly pink one). Anywoo, I have been looking online for a pretty case that accents the pink of the phone...annnnnd I just have not found any. This is what I did find...

-extremely tacky covers, Exhibit A

-extremely awesome, aka spending $250-450, NOPE! Exhibit B and C

So I had a situation on my hands. And whenever the world wide web fails me, I must take a good long look back at myself and figure out a way. Well! I did it! I made a plan. I ordered about 3,000 swarovski crystals (seriously...three. zero. zero. zero.) from a bead wholesale store and went to the drawing board (I also ordered 4 clear cases from ebay for 10 bucks) sweet.

Here I made a stencil of my phone and went for it. These are my 1st drafts, which I am pretty content with...

Then I took some crystals I had in my bag-o-tricks and set them down to see how they would work out.

P.S. The colors on the swirly one are going to be a little different but I had to use the markers I had in my office at work.

...Oops. Did I just admit that I designed my cell phone covers when I should have been grading drawings...*shrug* Its art, right?

Ah, and I bought some more printer ink last week and got the pics all posted. See yourself in there?

Now I just need to wait...until the rest of my crystals and my cases come in the mail. I will show you pictures when I get these babys finished :D

Paul's Tattoo: A Epilogue

Paul got his tatty finished last week! We packed a picnic, grabbed my cherry blossom cupcakes, and headed down to dupont circle. Paul's 3rd sesh took about 4 hours to complete his arm up. He got some touch ups, shading, and the color done. Paul has been getting comments on his tattoo daily now! Its crazy what some tweeks will do!! My cupcakes went over smashingly! Everyone at the tattoo parlor freaked about them, took pics, and insisted I open a bakery.

Dog + Cupcakes = Hilarious

Ok. This video has entered my life and will stay with me forever. I cannot explain the multiple ways I love this. But I do. I just hope you will love it as well. :D

Also, I wanted to include some pictures of Paul's new car! ...and some other things.

Sweet riiide!

Nice interior

We went to Georgetown cupcakes!

...after we got pulled over for cell phone usage (did NOT know it was illegal in DC. oops.) The cop was mean, but she ended up giving us a warning, since we are new to the area and didn't know it was illegal.

Red Velvet, lemon berry, toasted marshmallow (filled), and chocolate coconut

These were pretty good. VERRRY moist, almost too moist. And they all kind of had this honey undertone.

Well, overall, I give them a B+/ A-

Now- time for more pressing matters! Getting ready to watch 'em STILLERS win the s-bowl!

Sprinkles!!

My Party People!! I made Sprinkles cupcakes today with a mix that Mr. Paul got me from the Beverly hills store on our recent venture to CA. They are awesome. I am including some shots of the actual store and cupcakes from LA so you can see the sweet, modern coolness. And for those who don't know, Sprinkles is a famous cupcakery with awesome design- and cupcakes too!!

Store front

Dark Chocolate, Coconut lemon, Red velvet (like the ones I made today!!), and Strawberry. Mmmm.

Here is my batter. When you cream butter, crumblize the mix, add eggies, and add a milk/ vinegar combo...this is what you get.

Then, I smile.
Scoops.

Puffs.

Mmmm. Nothing like cream cheese, butter and sugar BABY! oh, and a pinch of salt and splash of vanilla.

I was practicing my 'Sprinkles swirl' in the bowl.

Red velvet color coded toppings.

I only had 12 tops, but I had 15 cakes, so I dipped the others in fine chocolate sprinkles.

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!

And just for fun- a picture of a cute thing we have in the backyard.

And the most horrific, baby-carrying, furry, beast-like, tragic, disgusting, terrible, life-threatening, worst ever, thing we have in our backyard.
